How We Handle Water Damage
There are three phases in the water damage restoration process:
1. Water Removal and Clean Up
We extract all standing water from the home or business, and remove wet materials such as carpet padding, sheetrock and insulation. We have the proper equipment and the manpower to handle this, and from that point we move into Phase 2.
2. Structural Drying
DRYMORE uses dehumidifiers and air movers to get rid of remaining moisture in the air and structure. By generating super dry air with dehumidifiers and directing that air with air movers, our technicians draw the moisture out and speeds up drying. This prevents secondary damage to undamaged areas from high moisture levels in the air. Drying the wet structural materials and removing excessive moisture from the air is extremely important for limiting further damage and mold growth.
3. Water Damage Repair
Once the structure has been tested and proven to be completely dry, DRYMORE repairs damage to the structure. Often the baseboards or cove bases have been removed and holes drilled along the bottom of the walls to help in the drying process, and those will need to be repaired. Carpet and padding are often removed and replaced, and damaged sheetrock in the ceiling will have to be repaired. Finally, any items permanently damaged, such as insulation, damaged personal items, or warped wooden floors, will have to be replaced.
