About DRYMORE
Meet the Owner
Jessica Lykins, President/CEO
Jessica Lykins began her career in water damage cleanup and the restoration industry in 1997, working for David Selter, her mentor. She developed most of the company’s systems. She has her IICRC certification for water restoration services.
Jessica is the spokesperson for the company, even being interviewed by Amy Davis on KPRC TV explaining the dos and don’ts of water damage to viewers. She also heads up company outreach efforts to insurance agents with her presentation and interaction with them during the CE classes. She routinely talks to the insurance adjusters assigned to our jobs, answering their questions regarding the drying progress, and to potential customers walking them through the drying process.
Jessica is married with 3 children and works hard to teach her kids the value of hard work and the importance of only speaking the truth and always honoring what you say. Her main goal is education and honesty, empowering people with knowledge instead of fear.
Company History
DryMore Company was founded by David Selter and Jessica Lykins in 2009. In 2018, David Selter retired and Jessica Lykins became sole owner of the company. Prior to founding DryMore, David Selter founded a carpet restoration company in 1985, which also did water damage clean-up. He brought in Jessica Lykins to run the operations and grow the company with him. We have decades of experience in water damage restoration along the Gulf Coast area.
We are a woman-owned, family business and we take the safety of families and homes very seriously. We have been through all of the major floods including Allison and Harvey, as well as the major freezes, including Winter Storm Uri in 2021. On a day-to-day basis, we are dealing with problems caused by water damage. We’ve pretty much seen it all and have the experience to know what to look for and where to look for it.
